| Golden Flow | Combined |
"Golden Flow" was the urine drug screening
program - didn't have anything to do with VD. Names of enlisted men
(E-4 & below) were randomly selected topiss in the bottle. If
you tested positive (for any drug other than marijuana) you had to
come back and be retested a couple times a week for the next month. (They
had to quit caring about positive marijuana tests, because there was a
90%+ postive test rate by '73!) If you tested positive a second
time, you were given a choice between drug rehab, or an Art 15.
Golden Flow was and still is in the U.S. Army an
urine test for drugs. Now a days it also include alcohol. It the old
days in Vietnam it was a good thing for us drinkers, they usually had the
piss test in the NCO club and free beer until you pissed. Once you pissed
it was out the back door. Think it was in the late 70's early 80's that
they were not only testing for drugs, but for alcohol also. |
